IF you are Noynoy Aquino…

Mabuhay!

This coming June 30, 2010 the 15th Philippine President will be sworn into office and everybody is just as excited since everyone is hoping for a new beginning for the Philippines.

Now… just like in many situation when there is a new leadership that is about to start, there are so many speculations on how and what will be the program of Incoming President Noynoy Aquino.

Well, of course everybody is looking for a complete change in almost all aspect of the new administration.

Likewise everybody should be a part of the change that is about to happen. As they say change must come within the community and up it goes.

It is hope by every Filipino that the Noynoy government will introduce a system that will be beneficial to all concern. In other words… a government of the people and by the people as stated in the preamble of the Constitution.

This Post wanted to know… “If you are President Noynoy, what will be your priority in order for the Philippines regain its prominence!

If I am not mistaken we were second to Japan then here in Asia if we are going to talk about economy and life standard. Asians come to the country to study Agriculture, Medicines and other courses where the Philippines excel the most.

I am hoping that you will share your point of view whether you are a Filipino or foreigner who wanted to be a part of this Post.

This is your Friend Feron saying bye bye for now.

Have a nice weekend!:=)

Beware of the KILLER SMOKE…

SECOND HAND SMOKE… KILLS!

Are you aware that second hand smoke brings more health related problems than those direct smokers?

Study reveals that in the U.S. in the early 80’s deaths ranging from 35,000 to 40,000 deaths were attributed to passive smoking.

Now, the rate of non-smokers to have a heart disease is as high as 60 percent and that is very alarming.

It is very unfair for us non-smokers!

According to our government all effort is being implemented such as labeling the cigarette pack with the ill effects of smoking tobacco. Is this enough to console the non-smokers being exposed to killer smoke?

In the Philippines, we had a law Republic Act 9211 which was signed into law on June 23, 2003 by President Arroyo.

Accordingly, this anti smoking law is by far a first in the world that complies with World Health Organization (WHO) requirements.

However, no matter how good a law is… the question, IS IT BEING IMPLEMENTED TO THE LETTER?

Still we see so many cigarette vendors are on the street and selling this dangerous product. In almost all passenger jeepneys and buses they are free to smoke their cigarette at will and nobody is apprehending these law violators.

And most often the drivers also smokes so what is the use of the law which aims to protect both active and passive smokers?

Well, let us join hands… people of the world and let us combat this dangerous act and make our world a better place for our children.

It may be too late for us but there is still time for the next generation.

A Great Leader…

A “Great Leader… Senator Manny Villar!”

Presidential candidate Senator Manny Villar conceded his defeat to Senator Noynoy Aquino after the margin padded to so many millions of votes.

At around 11:00 a.m. the senator announced his statement over a press conference.

This only proves that he is not only a real man but a real leader of the land.

Hopefully with his gentleman’s act, the rest will follow to extend their reconciliatory hand to the winning proponent.

Likewise, I am hoping that Senator Noynoy Aquino will acknowledged the act of Mr. Villar.

Continue the cause why you seeked for the presidency by helping the nation through legislation in the Senate.

More Power to you Mr. Senator…

First Philippine Automated Election

The much awaited first “automated election process” in the Philippines is over. Nevertheless, so many glitches should be ironed-out so that the authenticity of the outcome shall be acceptable to all concerned.

Nonetheless, it’ is a different experience… imagines that for almost four and one-half hour under the heat of the sun waiting for your turn to vote…!

That is tedious way to cast a vote. The process is very slow and as I have said there are so many glitches, hard to locate your name because from precincts they formed a cluster consisting more or less of four to five precincts.

This is one of the reasons why the process is turtle-like. One unit of PCOS machine is assign for almost a thousand voters.

Now, this time it may be fast to count the votes but it is hard to cast a vote. Unlike before which is the other way around.

Generally, although there are some incidents of gun related incidents and some vote buying scenarios; it is peaceful inspite of the temperature of the weather.

NOW… all candidates must now start to extend a reconciliatory arms to those who are winning the race. Let us start to build a nation for a better Philippines and show to the world that we Filipinos means honest to goodness political relationship.

The eyes of the world in now on us… let us be progress oriented instead of throwing unnecessary things to each other. We need to accept the “change” that we should face reality as it is.

With these experiences… we would be heading to a more and more systematic and well updated way of conducting automated election in the future.

God Bless the Philippines.

To all the winners do what you have said work as if this is your last day in your office!

This is your friend Feron saying Mabuhay to all!
