CERVICAL CANCER!
This morning while watching a morning show… I’ve learned that this month of May is being observed as “Cervical Cancer Awareness Month”.

The guest doctor an OB-Gyne, is quite worried especially the situation in the Philippines about this type of cancer in women. Her worry lies about the country’s status about this dreaded disease, we ranked second (2nd) worldwide!
Accordingly, women should always check themselves if ever there’s an increased in vaginal discharge, pelvic pain, abnormal vaginal bleeding and pain during intercourse, if ever these are present, then it’s high time to consult your doctor.
Early detection saves lives, time and money, so why not go to your doctor for medical advises or for a Pap test to determine whether you had abnormalities in your cervix cells.
If you are going to ask your doctor today… that piece of information may save anyone from further sufferings since almost 600 women die everyday because of cervical cancer.
NOW, there are vaccine that offers protection from cervical cancer why not take advantage of the opportunity.
As they say Prevention is the best cure..!
Hoping for the best in every women of the world!

Hey Feron,
Women really need to be checking themselves since cancer is so wide spread these days. My wife has had 3 bouts with cancer and I am thankful that she is still here with me. All of hers was breast related. I hope the women that read your post will at least think about getting the tests run on themselves.

Cervical cancer prevention awareness is one of my blogs advocacy. Hence, I posted this article before, which features a free screening offered by the DOH last 22 May. Hopefully. more information and advocacy programs are adopted soon to reduce mortality rates.

Hi feron, thanks for the advice. It’s a long time ago that I visited my doctor and since, I am busy I wasn’t able to take my time for any check-up. When I read your article, I realized that I need to take my time for my health. I pray that I am still healthy. Thanks for posting this health tips for women.

Please, don’t promote vaccination against it.
The consequences of the vaccinations are unknown. The benefits are unclear, the risks are enormous!

I think we rank second because many Filipinas simply are not too health conscious. I live with a family whose entire clan does not care about check ups at all. They think people who go for check ups worry too much. Some members of the family have died instantly of illnesses they never knew they were sick with in the first place.
Also, many Filipinas are too poor to consider seeing doctors regularly. Even with charity services, our people prefer to think of food on the table first
